It is at this time that I would like to acknowledge recognize and pay forward deep heart felt respect for those lives who have been lost to the ultimate sacrifice for freedom everywhere in the world as well as this country and nation on this Memorial Day. With these uncertain challenging times we live in it is getting harder every day to manage and navigate life for individuals as well as those in authority looking out for others. I have now a deeper more reverent respect for those who are on patrol and wear a uniform, wear a badge and carry a weapon. Upon these individuals are bestowed the responsibility of defending the law based upon freedom and human decency through the process of executive legislative and judicial enforcement creation of law and interpretation of the laws made in the process. Today’s world requires more of these people and of citizens who depend upon them to become more aware informed and vigilant. By doing more in and with our own lives by becoming aware of our thoughts, feelings, emotions and attitude is a necessity for citizens to get their internal houses (their hearts and minds) in order to be able to not only help their families and friends but their neighbors and fellow citizens they cross paths within everyday life. We must depend upon Source God or our Higher Power not out of desperation but out of necessity to leverage the forces of life which seek to diminish and attempt to defeat those who wish to live in peace and freedom. Remembering those who gave their lives for others did so knowing at some point in time that their sacrifice would be honored publicly before others. In their hearts and minds Source God or their Higher Power has already acknowledged and recorded their bravery and courage for fighting for those freedoms that we still enjoy on a daily basis. The battle is no longer abroad but about getting through each day in our everyday lives and the world’s mental health challenges. Domestically more and more acts of criminal behavior are becoming commonplace at one time were rare to be reported. The enemy is not only outside but can be within those who do not take themselves and their lives seriously to the point of honest and sincere introspection and reflection about the state and condition of their psyches. These areas cannot be policed by others and can only be policed by oneself and if there is doubt, apprehension, contempt, recrimination as well as self-righteous indignation then an individual will need to consult their Source God or Higher Power pray meditate and then reflect and contemplate what inner feedback they receive and act on it accordingly and seek appropriate help if needed. This will help lessen the burden not only of those who protect us but more importantly it will clean up and improve the human condition of our world one person at a time and together humanity can evolve recover and live with a bright future ahead. In the meantime, people will become who they really are and are created to be.
